General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) & Data Privacy Program
February 6 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm
The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the most important change in data privacy regulation in 20 years. The regulation will fundamentally reshape the way in which data is handled across every sector, from healthcare to banking and beyond. Also passed in early 2018, and going into effect January 2020 is the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA). It’s a major signal that unions, countries, and states are taking consumer rights to privacy seriously.
Join us in this engaging and interactive panel discussion to learn how you can start on the journey to GDPR/CCPA compliance.
In this panel, we will discuss the following:
- What, exactly, are GDPR and CCPA?
- The Principals of Privacy
- How do I identify and find my high-risk data?
- What does extraterritorial mean and how will it impact me?
- How does GDPR/CCPA compare to HIPPA?
- How can I start a privacy program at work?
