Managed Solution and Team "Will for Bill" at the 2014 Walk to Defeat ALS last year.

The Managed Solution team will be participating in the 2015 San Diego Walk to Defeat ALS again this year on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at DeAnza Cove.
Managed Solution is proud to support The ALS Association through charitable donations and participation in the Walk to Defeat ALS. Will Marchesano, one of Managed Solution’s team members, and his family unfortunately lost their beloved father and husband after his battle with ALS. Last year Will challenged the Managed Solution team to take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge to help raise awareness for this cause. Together we raised $1,855.00 and joined the team “Will for Bill” for the Walk to Defeat ALS in the memory of Bill Marchesano.
More than just a few-mile trek, the Walk to Defeat ALS® is an opportunity to bring hope to people living with ALS, to raise money for a cure, and to come together for something you care about. The Walk to Defeat ALS® is The ALS Association’s biggest annual event, which raises funds that allow our local chapters to sustain care services and support research for much of the next year.

Help Managed Solution beat last year's fundraising goal and join our team in the Walk to Defeat ALS!

Press Releases:
ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, is a deadly illness with no known cause or cure. It affects the motor neurons in a person’s brain and spinal cord. When the motor neurons die, the muscles waste away. Gradually, a person is robbed of the ability to walk, speak, eat, and eventually breathe. All the while, the mind remains sharp and aware of the total paralysis that is quickly setting in. Upon diagnosis, doctors give ALS patients only two to five years to live. Every 90 minutes a person in this country is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes another person will lose their battle against this disease. ALS occurs throughout the world with no racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic boundaries. By making a one-time, tax-deductible donation, you can truly make a difference in the fight against ALS. Visit alsa.org to make a donation.

Managed Solution, a highly honored and tenured managed services company and pioneer in managed, utility-based cloud computing, is a gold level sponsor for Canstruction 2015, an annual fundraising event where teams of architects, engineers, contractors, designers and students compete in a competition to design and build structures made entirely from canned foods. Canstruction Orange County combines the fun of a design/build competition with an ingenious way to help end hunger with the Orange County Food Bank. Managed Solution is supporting their customer R.D. The sculptures will be on display through the month of September at South Coast Plaza in Orange County. At the conclusion of CANstruction OC on September 27th, all canned food items will be given to the Orange County Food Bank. The OC Food Bank services over 400 local charities, soup kitchens, low-income families & individuals, Food Stamp Outreach & Farm 2 Kids and is able to distribute nearly 20 million pounds of food annually.
“We are happy to support our clients charitable causes and provide resources for engagement and creativity to put an end to hunger,” says Ryan Ferrel, vice president of sales at Managed Solution. “We can do so much more for our community when we partner together and spread awareness for important causes like this.” Managed Solution believes in building meaningful partnerships that spark a positive impact to support local communities.

San Diego, CA –June 22, 2015 — For six years now, Managed Solution has supported transitioning foster youth in the Just in Time College Bound Program by donating thousands of dollars of hardware and software solutions to help students excel in college, along with providing the help desk services they may need on their journey through higher education.
Over the past few months, Managed Solution, a highly honored and tenured managed services company and pioneer in managed, utility-based cloud computing, has been prepping laptops with imaging applications and security updates to prepare them to be distributed to youth at the Annual College Bound Award Day, June 20, 2015.
Just In Time for Foster Youth is a local non-profit that engages a caring community to help transitioning foster youth achieve self-sufficiency and well-being. Their College Bound Program delivers essential resources and encouragement for youth attending college. Participating youth connect with potential lifelong mentors and successful JIT College Bound alumni to receive laptops and printers, learn valuable tips on money management, legal matters and practical purchases, and pair up with a JIT volunteer shopper to buy essential dorm furnishings and school supplies.
“Currently, I’m proud to say we are servicing over 400 local foster youth who overcame challenges to successfully begin a new life chapter as college students and continue their path to become confident, capable and connected.” said Jennell Mott, business operations manager & community relations, Managed Solution.
Volunteers, sponsors and youth gathered at the University of San Diego on June 20, for the College Bound Award Day. This event is where foster youth College Bound members receive their laptops, printers, back packs and shopping cards to go dorm supply shopping. The Managed Solution team was honored to distribute laptops to over 65 youth, who received essential resources to help them succeed in their first year in college.
“It is such a heart-warming experience to see these youth who have faced so much before the age of 18 feel like they now have a support system and family called the JIT community,” says Mott.
“Just in Time is an outstanding local organization that is making a difference in the lives of the foster youth in our community,” said Sean Ferrel, chief executive officer at Managed Solution. “As a local provider of technology services and solutions, we feel strongly about being involved in the community and we are proud to be able to continue to help further the cause of this great organization.”

6.6.15---College-BoundThis past weekend’s College Bound event was all about connections, with activities designed to give participants the opportunity to begin creating their community of volunteer Coaches and other youth! That’s why the symbol of the day was the puzzle piece, a nod to how we’re all interconnected to create a bigger picture result.
College Bound stories. Anyone who has attended JIT’s signature event over the past 10 years has at least one to share. And the youth and volunteers who have been active participants can speak eloquently of the process of breaking down barriers to forge unexpected relationships, creating a foundation for academic success and fulfilling the promise of youth empowerment to turn dreams into reality.
On June 6, some of those stories were shared and dozens more were created when College Bound 2015 took place at USD. Supporting JIT through their College Bound Program for over five years, the Managed Solution team was excited to take part in the activities this past weekend.
Managed Solution started supporting Just in Time for Foster Youth in June of 2010 through their College Bound Program by helping procure and distribute laptops and printers to JIT Youth who enrolled in their College Bound program. Managed Solution made a commitment to JIT that they would also provide helpdesk support to College Bound youth for the term of their college career. Today we are proud to say we are supporting more than 400 JIT youth!
The Managed Solution team is showing their support for College Bound 2015 by volunteering at their annual events and prepping 75 laptops that will be distributed to the College Bound Youth on June 20, 2015 10am-3pm @USD Campus.
The Managed Solution team has a goal to raise $5000. Please help us reach this goal by visiting our College Bound Fundraising page: Donate here

A non-profit organization to support foster youths with donation of technology tools including Laptops and printers. This is to assist with their continued skill development after they turn 18 years old. Each year, approximately 300 youth reach the age of 18 and transition out of the foster care. But with little or no support the odds and the statistics are stacked against them. Managed Solution invites supporters to once again invest to support the JIT programs that build self-sufficiency for over 500 youth each year.

The Managed Solution team is participating in Rose Nose Day today by wearing Red Noses and making a donation to support fundraising efforts and awareness.
