Robert Walker, Field Engineer

Rob Walker joins Managed Solution as one of our new Field Engineers, starting with us on October 3, 2016. Rob grew up in a few different towns in Illinois. Rob took an interest in Agriculture after his first job as a corn detassler, which then led him to go to the University of Illinois to study Agriculture Technology & Economics
Outside of the office, Rob loves to watch English Premier League soccer, rooting for Manchester United. This summer, Rob moved to California, which had been a life long dream of his. He is now much closer to his family, most of who live in both Orange County and San Francisco. He is looking forward to spending his first Christmas in 20 years with his family.

New Employee Announcement: Rob Rubio


Rob Rubio joins the Managed Solution team as our Business Development Manager for the Los Angeles and Orange County area.  After growing up in Ohio, Rob moved to Los Angeles to work in the entertainment industry, including working for CSI: Crime scene Investigation as their production assistant, working his way up to Writers' Office manager.
He decided to pursue his MBA and chose UCLA's Anderson School of Business. This year, he is happy to be back in LA representing Managed Solution after five years living in San Diego from 2010-2015.
When not working hard, Rob tends to develop his own projects and goals for fun outside of work. This fall he'll take a DELE B2-Level Professional Spanish Fluency exam. After settling in with his new role at Managed Solution, he'd like to find colleagues and friends who are musicians and interested in starting a cover band. Rob also enjoys traveling and visited family in Cuba this summer for an exciting tour of the countryside, including Viñales and Piñar del Rio.
We are beyond excited to have Rob join our team, and we cannot wait to see what he brings to our ballgame!

As a member of the Managed Operations Center, the Technical Support Specialist (Level 1) will provide entry-level technical support to managed services clients in a 24/7/365 environment, working from Managed Solution headquarters and at various client sites. He or she will be responsible for the following...
•Fielding client inquiries and providing basic application support, network administration, desktop troubleshooting.
•Adhering to client service level agreements and team performance goals as you prioritize, resolve and escalate issues in accordance with company policy.
•Communicating technical information clearly and effectively over the phone, in person, and in writing to English-speaking clients.
•Documenting client communication and resolution efforts via internal ticketing system.
•Maintaining a high degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity while accessing client data/systems and supporting mission-critical environments.
•Other responsibilities as assigned.
Technical Competencies:
•An Associate or Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
•Microsoft or other technical certifications a plus!
•Basic troubleshooting skills in a Windows environment, including desktop and server OS
•Fundamental awareness of LAN/WAN administration and concepts
•Entry-level proficiency in Exchange and Active Directory
•Previous exposure to virtualization technologies and ticketing systems preferred.

Maddie started her first day at Managed Solution on Wednesday, May 18, 2016. Maddie was born and raised in Poway, in the north county of San Diego, where she has lived her whole life. Maddie just finished her first year at Baylor University in Waco, TX where she is studying business in Baylor's Professional Selling program. This is her first internship in a corporate business setting, so she is learning a lot already!
At school, Maddie is heavily involved in her sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta, where she holds many leadership positions. Back home in San Diego, she loves to run, hike, and be outdoors. In fact, she just ran her first half marathon in March and hopes to run another one in Dallas this coming fall. This summer, she also holds another part-time position at San Diego Bike and Kayak Tours in La Jolla as a sales representative.
Maddie has two dogs at home named Leah and Ginger, and hopes to get a bunny in the fall after moving into her new apartment in Texas. We are so excited to have Maddie as part of the Managed Solution team!

Ken Bayne started working at Managed Solution on Monday, April 25, 2016. Ken was born in Burlingame, California and grew up in the town next door - Millbrae, CA. Both cities are located on the Peninsula in the San Francisco Bay Area. Ken is married and has a 12 yr. old son, Kevin. Ken has a cantankerous old Chihuahua that he adopted from an animal shelter, named Ernie, as in Bert and Ernie.
Ken comes from Merlin Entertainments, which owns LEGOLAND, Madame Tussaud Wax Museums, Sea Life Aquariums and about 120 parks and attractions in 22 countries. He was primarily responsible for the end to end IT for New Attractions and Rides openings. Prior to that Ken was an IT Consultant with Robert Half Technology, a Manager of Infrastructure and Service Desk at a Mortgage Bank and Director of Information Systems at Rubio's restaurants. Ken has more than 25 years of IT Operations and IT Project Management experience. Ken has earned the Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) and both ITIL Foundations and ITIL Practitioner Certifications.
Ken understands and can speak beginner level Thai. Ken enjoys playing golf and saltwater fishing with his son - and wife when he can get her to participate. Ken is an avid traveler and has been to more than 30 countries, and has spent more than a few weeks/months living in Japan, Thailand, Kuwait, England and Spain. Ken owns a home in Samut Prakan, Thailand, which is about 30 miles south of Bangkok. We are excited to welcome Ken to the Managed Solution Team!

Alecia Aktabowski began working at Managed Solution on Monday, April 25, 2016. Alecia lived 13 years in Indiana and 13 years in Georgia before moving to San Diego. Alecia is married with a super independent daughter, Ella and 2 incredibly dependent dogs, Cami and Monty.
Alecia joins us from SIGMAnet, where she managed professional services projects and tier 3 engineer scheduling and escalations.
When Alecia isn't in the office she enjoys hiking, shopping, going to Ella's school functions, doing hair, and eating dessert. Alecia can't swim despite her husband being a rescue swimmer. We are excited to welcome Alecia to the Managed Solution Team!

Jamie Gasior joined the Managed Solution team as a Business Development Manager (Arizona) on Monday, April 11, 2016. Jamie has over twenty years of sales experience in the technology industry with the past 10 years focused on cloud and/or managed services.
Jamie was born in Michigan and lived in several states throughout his childhood (6 total!) He moved to Tucson, AZ for college in 1992 and has lived there ever since. In 1997 he met his wife Erin, who is also from Michigan, at a laundromat near the University of Arizona campus. They have been married for 16 years and have 4 awesome kids (Emma, Abby, Jack and Luke) and Wrigley, a golden doodle.
Before Jamie decided to grow up and get a real job, he was dedicated to chasing his dream of playing golf professionally until he realized his potential or lack thereof – but he still enjoys playing for fun! Jamie also loves coaching his football team which has his boys Jack and Luke playing on together. He is excited to join the Managed Solution team and we are happy to have him on board!

connie bond managed solution

With an extensive background in IT, Connie Bond joined the Managed Solution team as a Project Manager on September 8, 2015. She is a jack of all trades and started working in IT when she was 18 years old and has had experience in technical support, networking, programming, software, hardware as well as web design. Connie's excited to use her extensive IT background and expertise to oversee IT projects for Managed Solution.
Connie is originally from Batavia, a small town outside of Chicago. When a job offer with a global company gave her the opportunity to choose her territory, she selected San Diego even though she had never visited before. She wanted to experience a new location, one with nice weather. Twenty-one years later Connie is still very happy living in beautiful San Diego, where she met her husband and started her family. Connie met her husband Mike while she was enjoying the outdoors on a run at Lake Miramar. They have been happily married and have their sixteen year anniversary closely approaching. Along with Mike, Connie has a 21 year old stepson William, three Jack Russell rescue pups, a 35 year old parrot and a fish named Budda.
Connie is really outgoing and enjoys new adventures and experiences. When she was twenty-five years old she took a six month journey around the United States on her own to explore. Having been to so many great places it was hard for her to choose a favorite, but after some thought she said Kauai, Hawaii was one of the best places she's been to because it's great for outdoor adventures and has a peaceful relaxing energy. Besides working in IT, Connie is a Reiki Master and has been practicing for over two years. Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing.
Connie is excited for her new chapter with Managed Solution and we are delighted to have her on board! Please join us in welcoming her to the team.
