SoCal Tech Firm Shakes up Traditional Fund Raising; Slams $10k Goal for Cancer Research

San Diego, CA – Managed Solution, a full-service SoCal based technology firm, shook up the fundraising scene hosting a new twist on game-packed charity golf tournament Friday to benefit American Cancer Society.
More than 30 sponsors, 100 golfers and 50 guests were in attendance at the 3rd Annual event to help raise over $10,000 for cancer research. Managed Solution has officially become a presenting sponsor of their Relay for Life event being held on April 29th in Oceanside.
The golf tournament kicked off with a Helicopter Ball Drop 50/50 Raffle where a bucket of numbered golf balls were dropped from a helicopter hovering over a designated hole. Fifty percent of the proceeds were donated to American Cancer Society while the other fifty percent provided a cash prize to the winner. The winning golf ball was #73 belonging to Mike Shapiro.
Premium sponsors for the Managed Solution 3rd Annual Golf Tournament included Microsoft (Presenting Sponsor) and Jersey Mike’s (Lunch Sponsor). Other Hole Sponsors included Aberdeen Group, Block Advisors, Cisco, DLK Investment, Firstlink Communication LLC, Sharp Business Systems, Sound, Stone Brewing, StorageCraft and Wells Fargo Home Mortgage.
Managed Solution's charity golf tournament is an annual tradition to bring together partners, customers and friends in the community as well as raise funds to promote and support educational and charitable programs. In 2015, they raised over $6K for Just in Time Foster Youth and in 2016, they raised $10K for Computers 2 San Diego Kids. This marked the second year they hosted an Online & Live Silent Auction which brought in nearly $5K.
The tournament concluded with cancer survivor, Laura Gonzales, giving a touching speech about her battle with cancer into remission and an awards reception and taco bar buffet to congratulate the tournament winners. First, second, and third place winners received invitations to play in the Randy Jones Invitational in January 2018.

Responsibilities:
Your Mission? Leverage a deep understanding of Managed Solution’s value proposition to build brand awareness and cultivate consultative relationships, driving new logo acquisitions within an assigned territory.
Key Performance Objectives:
•Develop a robust prospect pipeline by executing to sales plan and agreed upon activities, including a consultative, solutions-based sales approach
•Finding ways to differentiate Managed Solution by acting as a business consultant/solution provider
•Demonstrate hunter mentality: maintain a high volume of activity, including outbound calls, emails, and social selling, as well as researching and identifying new opportunities on a weekly basis
•Diligently preparing for client-facing meetings: understanding pain points, internal stakeholders/resources to create a tailored communication strategy to address business needs
•Leverage social campaigns, marketing materials, and networking activities to build brand awareness with both channel partners and customers
•Maximizing leads and conversion rate utilizing the proven tools and systems provided
•Building, qualifying, and managing an accurate sales pipeline in a CRM environment
•Attending conferences and industry-related events to establish relationships and develop intimate knowledge of industry trends
•Meeting or exceeding sales quota

Steve Schlosser joined the Managed Solution team as a Project Manager on Monday, August 24. Born and raised in South Florida, Steve left home 6 months after his 18th birthday to join the U.S. Navy as an Information Systems Technician. Steve started off as a Scuba tank technician and worked his way up to the role of Divemaster prior to leaving for the Navy. Steve served five years in the navy, spending two years abroad in Sicily, and the remaining three years in San Diego stationed aboard the USS San Diego. In 2013 he honorably discharged as a Petty Officer Second Class and landed his first job as a Telecommunications Analyst II with L-3 Communications while attending college full time. In 2015, Steve earned his B.S. in Business with a concentration in Project Management, passed his Project Management Professional (PMP) exam, and in August was hired aboard Managed Solution to fill the role of Project Manager.

Steve lives in San Diego with his wife Alex and their two Mastiff dogs - Nica and Amaya. Along with many of our team members here at Managed Solution, Steve's favorite hobby is riding motorcycles. His wife shares this passion with him and collectively they own four bikes, each having a street and dirt model. Steve's favorite style of riding is off-road technical trail and motocross. He also enjoys traveling and has visited over six countries since leaving home in 2008.
Steve calls himself a fitness nut and wakes up Monday through Friday at 4am to workout, maintaining a strict diet with planned meals every day of the week. He also fits in time for education and is enrolled as a student at the University of Phoenix, currently pursuing an MBA.

During the prehistoric era, the Inuit people used walrus ivory to create sun goggles, which blocked out the powerful rays of sun that reflected off the snow and ice.
