High Tech: How the Burgeoning Legal Cannabis Industry Is Harnessing Technology. Watch a panel discussion conducted by Cato Institute to learn more.

The above video was conducted by the Cato Institute for a panel discussion of the ways in which the newly (and increasingly) legal cannabis industry is harnessing the power of technology, as well as the legal barriers that still stand in their way.
Featuring Taylor West, Deputy Director, National Cannabis Industry Association (@Taylor_West); Betty Aldworth, Executive Director, Students for Sensible Drug Policy (@bettyaldworth); and Amy Poinsett, CEO, MJ Freeway (@amypoinsett); Moderated by Kat Murti, Senior Digital Outreach Manager, Cato Institute (@KatMurti)
Although cannabis (otherwise known as marijuana) is still classified as a Schedule I drug in the United States—meaning that it is illegal to possess, use, buy, sell, or cultivate under federal law—state laws in 23 states (plus the District of Columbia) allow for its medical use, and four states (plus the District of Columbia) allow for its recreational use. The trend towards legalization is likely to continue with polls routinely showing majority support for legalization from the American public.
Despite a fair amount of legal confusion created by the conflicting patchwork of laws across the country (and even within the same municipalities), entrepreneurs are pouring into the industry, starting new stores, cafes, testing labs, consulting firms, and a myriad of other businesses spurred by the booming cannabis economy.

New Team Member: Cherla Ramsey, Director of Business Development, Arizona

Managed Solution welcomed Cherla Ramsey as the Director of Business Development, Arizona on Monday, August 31. Cherla joins us with over twenty years of experience in telecommunications. She is also an active community volunteer and philanthropist, Co-Owner and Coach at the Gila Valley’s premier Crossfit Gym and a CrossFit games athlete, placing 3rd in the state of Arizona in the Masters division during the 2015 CrossFit Open.
Cherla’s career began after high school when she took a summer job in Yuma Arizona installing telephone lines for the winter visitors. She says all technicians should start in Yuma in June because that’s how you know if you can handle the heat of any job. This summer job turned into a 21 year career with the company, she loved learning all she could about telecommunications, from installation/maintenance technician, management, construction splicing/placing to Market Development, her career at the ‘phone company’ was well versed.
Cherla grew up in Colorado and calls herself the “telephone brat” instead of an army brat because she moved several times in her lifetime as her dad transferred and accepted new opportunities within the Mountain Bell / USWest / Qwest / CenturyLink company, finally landing in Arizona as her longest lived in address thus far.
Cher has never been “dog poor” and is currently entertained daily by Mack, her English Bulldog, otherwise known as Big Mack Ditty… and he has a cocker spaniel sidekick named Jitters, or J-dog for short. They allow the furr-less animals to share the couch with them and watch TV as long as they continue to get fed. This would include Cherla’s two sons, Rance (16) and Rayden (12), they are both football players and when practice and games are over they can be found on their dirt bikes and four-wheelers stirring up dust.

Mack (Big Mack Ditty) - Cherla's English Bulldog

At 5am every week day you can find Cherla in her CrossFit gym, (Gila Valley CrossFit) coaching the day breakers, teaching a college CrossFit class, and grabbing her own workout so she can keep up with those darn 20 somethings. She placed 3rd in the state of Arizona in the Masters division during the 2015 CrossFit Open and hopes to place even higher next year. She is active in her community and puts on a triathlon that brings in an audience of nearly 200 people annually. All of the money raised by that venture goes back in a way to build on the health and fitness of her community, via community college scholarships, or money for the local school’s weight room upgrades etc. Cherla also enjoys riding Harley’s, quads, and RZR’s, and of course watching her amazing boys play football.
A fun fact about Cherla… she went to college on a scholarship for her Violin, she also plays the piano and wishes she could play her guitar and banjo well some day too. She decorates cakes as a hobby and likes to see what daily adventures she can get herself into. She is excited to represent Managed Solution in the Arizona market and says she feels fortunate to be a part of this amazing group of people.
Please join us in welcoming Cherla Ramsey to the Managed Solution team!

How to add, remove and modify fonts in Windows 10 by Rick Broida

Want to install new fonts or remove unwanted ones? Here's how, along with the quickest way to change font settings.
People often tell me I'm a font of wisdom, so allow me to share some wisdom about fonts. (Needless to say, I'm not a font of humor.)
In Windows 10, not much has changed about the way typefaces are installed, deleted and otherwise modified, but if you're not familiar with the processes, well, it's all new to you. Here's everything you need to know.
First up, you'll need to access the font control panel. Easiest way by far: Click in Windows 10's new Search field (located just to the right of the Start button), type "fonts," then click the item that appears at the top of the results: Fonts - Control panel.

As you can see, there's no clearly identified option to add new fonts, but the process is easy: just drag any TrueType font file to the main window containing all your other installed fonts. (See screenshot at top.) When you drop it, you'll see a brief "installing font" message, and then, presto, you're done.
Removing a font is even easier: Click one, then click Delete. Just be careful not to remove any important system fonts like Calibre, Microsoft Sans Serif and Tahoma.

windows 10 font 2

Finally, if you want to make systemwide changes to your font settings, you can do so here by looking to the toolbar on the left side of the Font control panel. For example, to increase or decrease the font size for, say, menus and icons, click Change Font Size. Choose the item you want to change, then select a size. (You also have the option of ticking the Bold box, which is actually kind of a nice tweak for things like title bars.)

After making your selection, click Apply, noting that it'll take a few seconds for the change to go into effect.
And that's it! Now you know the basics of Windows 10 font management.
