Trick-or-Treat: Google Apps for Work vs. Office 365

By Kelly Cronin
Do you want a trick, or a treat?  If you're looking for an office treat, Office 365 for business is the perfect remedy for your sweet tooth.  Here's why you should avoid Google Apps for work if you want to avoid the tricks this Halloween:

The Trick

Google Apps claim to be completely innovative and sustainable.  The truth, however, is that Google Apps can't grow with your business like you need them to.  Missing workloads and limited flexibility can strain your business rather than help it.

The Treat

Office 365 helps you reinvent productivity in your organization, extend collaboration into new areas, and transform how you get work done. With the latest updates for all Office 365 apps, innovation is never lacking.  Office 365 gives your business all the latest and greatest tools to do whatever it is that you do best.

The Trick

Reliable security is an absolute necessity for every business.  With Google Apps for work, some important security capabilities are often available only through third-party services with separate licenses and service level agreements.  This means reliable security is a little more difficult to come by, putting your business at risk.

The Treat

Microsoft Office 365 offers privacy, security, and compliance safeguards you can trust. Microsoft is transparent on where your data is stored and who has access to it, so you never have to worry about whether your business is safe and secure.

The Trick

Growing business needs growing technology.  Google Apps don't quite have all the capabilities to support enterprise needs, forcing bigger companies to turn to third-party services for some of their workloads.

The Treat

Office 365 offers a comprehensive and secured productivity service, designed to meet a wider range of your current enterprise productivity needs such as documents, spreadsheets, presentations, project intranets, business intelligence, enterprise content management, messaging, universal communications, and more.
