Sean Ferrel
CEO/Founder
Sean founded Managed Solution because he believed there was a better way to provide IT talent to help businesses with their exponential growth of data, technology needs and business challenges as it relates to IT. Sean is equally passionate about both people and technology, and truly believes it’s about finding the right people to empower the technology that can take your business to where it needs to go. When Sean isn’t discussing business objectives or learning about the latest and greatest technology, he enjoys travelling, spending time with his family and fishing.
Jennell Mott
Chief Operations Officer
As one of Managed Solution’s first employees in 2004, Jennell has had a huge impact in shaping and growing Managed Solution into what it is today. Coming from an Environmental and Science background, Jennell has always enjoyed solving complex problems, and technology has allowed her to apply these skillsets and navigate this ever-changing field. Throughout her career at Managed Solution she has worn many hats and has had her hand in every facet of the business including sales, culture, operations, technical support and now leads our entire One Technical Team. Jennell works closely with all of our vendors, especially Microsoft, and as a result has become an expert in Microsoft products and solutions. Jennell’s dedication to both her colleagues and customers is unmatched and is a testament to Managed Solution’s success. To relax, she enjoys hiking, beaching it up, crafting, solving puzzles and spending time with her Frenchie.
Alecia Wilson
Vice President of Strategy and Programs
Alecia is Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), and Microsoft CIE Certified. For Alecia and the PMO, it’s all about the details and setting the right expectations. With those in mind, the result is customer satisfaction. Alecia has 10 years in IT consulting and project management, and as director of the PMO, the team strives to adapt to each project’s needs. In her free time, Alecia enjoys yoga, photography, going to the beach, hiking, and spending time with her daughter (the coolest 15-year-old ever) and her dogs.
Tina Rountree
Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Tina is a lifelong learner and expert at multi-tasking between work and being a mom of four. Tina is passionate about being a student of technology and eats, drinks, and breathes Microsoft. With 15 years of experience working with the small business community in San Diego, Tina has a deep understanding of how the right technology and systems can have a profound impact on the growth of an organization. Tina enjoys spending time with her family (including her cats) and lives in the Little Italy area where she loves to frequent the area’s eclectic restaurants with her husband.
Amanda Hawthorne
Director of People & Culture
Amanda aims to put the human back in human resources. From recruitment to retention, she is fully committed to exceptional employee experiences. Amanda has built her career supporting teams in the tech space and loves creating positive impacts in our employees’ professional lives. Since 2015, Amanda has helped Managed Solution exceed employee expectations with creative culture activities, meaningful benefits programs, and performance development initiatives. Amanda leverages her knowledge as a PHR-certified professional to foster a fun, safe, and inclusive workplace. When her out of office memo is turned on, you can find Amanda traveling, exploring San Diego’s craft brewery scene, or sitting by a pool with a good book.
Richard Swaisgood
Director of Cloud Productivity & Automation
Richard has been part of the Managed Solution team since 2007 and because of his thirst for IT knowledge, he has played many integral roles within our organization. These roles include deployment, implementation, migration, management, and optimization of Microsoft solutions. In fact, Richard holds over 12 Microsoft Certifications. Because of Richard’s deep and wide understanding of technology, he is easily able to take a client’s pain or vision and turn it into a cost-effective and secure solution. When Richard isn’t studying for his next certification, he enjoys taking hikes with his wife and their miniature dachshund, and relaxing at home watching TV and movies.
Tony Pecora

Tony is an Azure Certified Administrator, MCSA- Windows Server Certified, Citrix Certified Professional, and he keeps adding more to his trophy case. Tony has been a critical part of our customers’ success and his claim to fame is that he helped a company save $250,000 on their IT expenses. Tony loves being able to help clients and turn IT from a perceived necessary evil to a benefit and ROI-generating productivity tool. When Tony’s not helping customers make better investments in IT, he likes to stay active by playing softball, hiking, and camping.
Topher Thomas
Technical Operations Manager
Topher’s love for technology is what got him into the professional world of tech about 8 years ago. One of his favorite projects was migrating an entire infrastructure from an overloaded IT closet to an enterprise data center – in a single weekend! Topher’s favorite part about technology is that it’s always evolving and he loves working with a team to find the right mix of tech and people to solve real-world problems. Outside of work, Topher enjoys sports, camping, traveling and riding motorcycles.
