The Ice Bucket Challenge has a special meaning to one of Managed Solution's team members. For some of you who might know, Will Marchesano and his family unfortunately lost their beloved father and husband 2 years ago after his battle with ALS.

On October 26th, Will and his Managed Solution teammates will be participating in the Walk to Defeat ALS in the memory of Bill Marchesano. So our challenge to you is to help support Will and Managed Solution by spreading the word about our fundraising efforts by either taking the Ice Bucket Challenge or donating to our page “The Will for Bill”.

That’s why Will and his Managed Solution teammates are walking – for those who can’t. Our efforts will help The ALS Association fund research to find the cause and cure of Lou Gehrig’s Disease, as well as support services for people affected by it. Our fundraising goal is $5,000.00, and we hope you’ll help us reach it. Changing lives one donation at a time!

ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, is a deadly illness with no known cause or cure. It affects the motor neurons in a person's brain and spinal cord. When the motor neurons die, the muscles waste away.

Gradually, a person is robbed of the ability to walk, speak, eat, and eventually breathe. All the while, the mind remains sharp and aware of the total paralysis that is quickly setting in. Upon diagnosis, doctors give ALS patients only two to five years to live.

Every 90 minutes a person in this country is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes another person will lose their battle against this disease. ALS occurs throughout the world with no racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic boundaries.
