SERVICE:

Managed Backup (Veeam Backup and Replication)

What’s Included

Following the initial implementation described in the Onboarding section, managed backup and disaster recovery BDR services are provided utilizing Veeam Backup and Replication software to protect critical systems and data.

Ongoing oversight of the backup infrastructure includes solution optimization, proactive monitoring and management, and secure offsite backup replication to Azure Blob cloud storage.

Services include:

  • Continuous monitoring of all scheduled backup jobs through a centralized backup management platform
  • Prompt review and response to alerts generated in the event of a backup failure, job error, or process interruption, including restarting failed jobs, resolving configuration issues, or escalating persistent errors to advanced support, to support successful backup operations
  • Monitoring of storage utilization for backup repositories, onsite and offsite or cloud as applicable, to help ensure adequate capacity for future backups
  • Proactive alerts or recommendations when storage utilization approaches critical thresholds, including guidance regarding the need to increase storage allocation or adjust retention settings to help prevent capacity related disruptions
  • Management of backup replication to an offsite location, such as encrypted cloud storage in Microsoft Azure or a secure data center, to help ensure multiple isolated copies of critical data exist
  • Transmission and storage of offsite backup data in encrypted format, with appropriate security measures in place to help protect the confidentiality and integrity of backup data
  • Routine maintenance of the backup infrastructure and software, including applying software updates, patches, and upgrades to backup servers and agents, updating firmware on backup storage devices as needed, and adjusting backup schedules or retention policies to support performance and data retention requirements
  • Monthly health assessments, or at such other frequency as agreed, of the backup system
  • Reporting summarizing backup operation status, including job success and failure rates, data volumes backed up, storage utilization levels, and any noteworthy incidents
  • Recommendations for improvements where backup issues or performance anomalies are identified
