On December 8, 2015, Managed Solution proudly hosted a Job Shadow Event for 60 students from Clairemont High School Information Technology Academy, providing them with a unique opportunity to learn critical IT skills through Junior Achievement's job shadow initiative. This event marked the beginning of Computer Science Education Week (December 8-11), a nationwide effort aimed at encouraging students to pursue careers in STEM-related industries.

The day began with a warm welcome from Sean Ferrel, CEO and founder of Managed Solution. Ferrel shared his inspiring journey of building the fastest-growing IT company in Southern California, offering students valuable insights into the world of technology and entrepreneurship. His story resonated with the young attendees, many of whom aspire to follow a similar path in the tech industry. After addressing their career-related questions, Ferrel emphasized the importance of perseverance, continuous learning, and passion in achieving success.

Following the introduction, students were divided into groups and immersed in six different project-based activities led by Managed Solution employees. These hands-on sessions provided a comprehensive overview of various IT disciplines, including app development, coding and web design, channel partner marketing, project management, technical cloud development, and video production. Each activity was designed to give students a real-world understanding of the skills and knowledge required in today’s technology-driven workplace.

In addition to the technical learning, students from Clairemont High School Information Technology Academy had the chance to showcase their creativity and teamwork. They enthusiastically named their groups and played a key role in the filming, photographing, and editing of a video recap of the event, further enhancing their multimedia skills.
