Our cloud migration process

There are a lot of moving parts when it comes to a migration. Our goal as migration experts is to help ease the transition and work alongside your team to ensure transparency, alignment and clear communication throughout the process.

Here is a general overview of how the migration process works:

Phase 1: Scoping & Assessment

In this stage the Managed Solution team of migration experts analyze your current infrastructure as well as the data housed within it to determine a course of action. During this period, the team pinpoints any areas which could cause delays or interruption. This is what we like to consider the “roadmap phase.” It’s a collaborative approach which helps us get a clear understanding around project requirements and helps capture specific details about the project.

Phase 2: Planning

Using the information we gather from the assessment, we develop a migration plan and review it with you to answer any questions. Based on your input, we begin to tailor your solutions using the suite of Office 365 service options to customize your environment. We‘ll work closely with you to help prepare your environment and workloads. This is a complex process, so it’s beneficial to work together to best handle the logistics and to ensure deployment happens as quickly and seamlessly as possible.

Phase 3: Deployment

The physical migration is what we’d like to consider “moving day.” Sometimes we refer to this as a “cutover.” During this official window of time the bulk of the company data, such as email and other documents are transferred while our team works to finalize and reconfigure the remaining parts of the solution, which often includes devices.

Phase 4: Support

Finally, after the migration process is complete, our team can continue to provide assistance by answering questions or providing hands-on services. Our experts will work with your team to lead administrator and end-user training and support to continue to optimize your end user experience. Additionally, we can also help boost performance by guiding you through a menu of automation services to optimize your cloud experience.

Here’s what our customers are saying

“I’ve been so impressed with the sheer agility of Azure and the ease of support with Managed Solution. The whole team was very flexible with our needs and worked with us to have a resources available the weekend of our cutover. They’ve been willing to do whatever it takes to be successful.”
