jason

Jason joined the Managed Solution team as a Java Developer on January 18, 2016. Growing up around farm equipment and having a passion for old cars, Jason began his career as a mechanic at ten years old when he decided to purchase and restore a 68’mustang. Jason took this passion to the service and later worked his way up to designing engines and mods for Marionette Marine (FMSNA), the biggest ship builder in the world. Jason changed to Software Engineering in 2014 due to a physical disability, and now joins us as he finishes up his Bachelors in Software Development at the end of 2016.
Jason was born in Deer Creak, Oklahoma. After joining the marines in 2008, he moved around to San Diego, North Carolina, and Hawaii. While in the service, he traveled to Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Ireland before moving back to San Diego in 2012, where he met his wife. Jason is now happily married with three children, two cats named Ozzy Osbourne and Otis Redding and a Husky named Delilah. Jason and his family love taking trips to SeaWorld and the beach.
Jason considers himself a hot rod junkie because he loves anything with wheels and an engine. He has a 2010 Dodge Challenger r/t classic Mopar edition with the drag pack, a 2003 Chevy 2500 HD crew cab lifted truck with a 400 small block, and a 1/10 scale RC that has a brush less engine that he drives 70+mph on the track. Jason loves building fast cars no matter their size so when he’s not in the office or doing school work, he’s probably working on his cars or motorcycle. His dream is to open his own hot rod shop someday, so he also spends time trying to get his startup off the ground.

kris laserna managed solutionKristopher Laserna joined the Managed Solution team as the Customer Engagement Manager on Monday, September 21, 2015. Kris comes from a consumer electronics background, having been responsible for mainly the sales/training aspects of each previous company he's worked with. For the past five years, Kris has trained in boxing and Muay Thai. In addition to conditioning through martial arts, Kris actively plays in multiple basketball leagues year-round. In the past he's even traveled with his teammates to compete throughout various city/region competitions. connie bond managed solution

With an extensive background in IT, Connie Bond joined the Managed Solution team as a Project Manager on September 8, 2015. She is a jack of all trades and started working in IT when she was 18 years old and has had experience in technical support, networking, programming, software, hardware as well as web design. Connie's excited to use her extensive IT background and expertise to oversee IT projects for Managed Solution.
Connie is originally from Batavia, a small town outside of Chicago. When a job offer with a global company gave her the opportunity to choose her territory, she selected San Diego even though she had never visited before. She wanted to experience a new location, one with nice weather. Twenty-one years later Connie is still very happy living in beautiful San Diego, where she met her husband and started her family. Connie met her husband Mike while she was enjoying the outdoors on a run at Lake Miramar. They have been happily married and have their sixteen year anniversary closely approaching. Along with Mike, Connie has a 21 year old stepson William, three Jack Russell rescue pups, a 35 year old parrot and a fish named Budda.
Connie is really outgoing and enjoys new adventures and experiences. When she was twenty-five years old she took a six month journey around the United States on her own to explore. Having been to so many great places it was hard for her to choose a favorite, but after some thought she said Kauai, Hawaii was one of the best places she's been to because it's great for outdoor adventures and has a peaceful relaxing energy. Besides working in IT, Connie is a Reiki Master and has been practicing for over two years. Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing.
Connie is excited for her new chapter with Managed Solution and we are delighted to have her on board! Please join us in welcoming her to the team.

Scott HarrisScott Harris joined the Managed Solution team as a Senior Systems Engineer on May 20, 2015. He was born in the San Francisco Bay Area and grew up on the peninsula in Redwood City. Scott attended Sequoia High School, which offered the first computer programming class in district history. He attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo's computer science program in 1978 and moved back to the Bay Area to work in the burgeoning computer industry a few years later. In 1985, Scott landed a job at NASA/Ames Research Center's National Full-Scale Aerodynamics Comples (NFAC), one of the largest wind-tunnel research facilities in the world. PDP-11/70 front-end systems running RMS and VAX/VMS post-processing systems were used there. Booting the PDP-11 was done by flipping a row of paddle switches on the front of the computer chassis in the bit-pattern for the boot-address. These computer systems filled two rooms, along with the controls for the wind tunnel mechanical equipment. Scott worked at NASA for 11 years as a software support engineer, and later developed a wind-tunnel data acquisition and analysis program on the Mac using the LabView graphical programming language.
In the early 1990's Scott came down to San Diego to present a paper on his LabView Data Acquisition System (LDAS) at the IEEE Conference. He fell in love with San Diego, and in 1996 relocated his family for a job at Qualcomm. He worked at Qualcomm in the networking department as a software developer writing web-based and backend reporting tools for internal customers in Java and Perl. Eventually, Qualcomm began to favor 3rd party software over in-house developed code, and Scott assumed the role of application engineer, writing smaller integration software to tailor the 3rd party products to suit Qualcomm's custom requirements. Authentication, Monitoring (including SCOM) and Application Performance Management servers were his main areas of expertise.
During this time Scott was an avid bicyclist, commuting 25 miles per day for several years. He is also an accomplished musician, playing several instruments including guitar, bass, keyboards and drums. His current favorite instrument is the harmonica because it is so portable. He wrote a book on the harmonica at http://www.theharpguy.com. Scott also enjoys playing craps. He has written several simulation programs to test his systems. The results of these prove that there is no such thing as a winning system, only ones that let you lose money more slowly. Scott rarely travels, but he did spend a summer in Mexico as an exchange student, and 3 weeks in Turkey in 2010 for his honeymoon.
In 2015, after 19+ years at Qualcomm, Scott's position at Qualcomm was eliminated and this led to Scott's timely and fortunate new association with Managed Solution. "I felt at home immediately, here, and truly appreciate the special opportunity to work with such a talented and experienced group of engineers, support staff and managers," says Scott.
Please join us in welcoming Scott Harris to the Managed Solution team!
